[Ethereum Clients Teku and Besu Release Security Updates; Binary Users Need to Check Java Runtime Environment Separately] According to CryptoSlate, Ethereum clients Teku and Besu have released Docker security fixes to address the eMudhra certificate authority incident. The Docker images for Teku version 26.10.3 and Besu version 26.10.2 have removed trust in four root certificates: emSign ECC Root CA – G3, emSign Root CA – G1, emSign Root CA – G2, and AAA Certificate Services. Users using binary installations need to check their host Java runtime environment separately, as the clients rely on the system's installed JDK. If that environment still trusts the relevant root certificates, further fixes are required. The Teku team stated that no exploitation has been detected so far, and default mainnet nodes (those not using HTTPS URLs) are unaffected.
