[HSBC: $63 Billion Financing to Support Broadcom's Computing Power Deployment, Target Price $560] According to a research report by TechFlow, dated October 27, 2026, HSBC noted that Bank of America and other institutions announced a $63 billion financing deal. A newly established special purpose vehicle (SPV) will purchase Broadcom's AI accelerators and network solutions, which will then be leased to Anthropic. Broadcom will provide residual value support (RVS), with an expected peak exposure of $43 billion.
HSBC estimates that, combined with the previous $35 billion financing corresponding to over 1 gigawatt, this transaction will roughly support 1.7 to 1.8 gigawatts of deployment. This is still short of management's 2027 target of 5 gigawatts, and follow-up funding will need to be monitored. The report maintains a buy rating on Broadcom with a target price of $560. According to HSBC, Broadcom believes that factors such as customer payment obligations, asset re-leasing, and collateral value protection reduce the probability of residual value support being triggered.
