[Ethereum Community Releases EIP-8450 Update Draft, Proposes Simplifying Post-Quantum Validator Key Registration Mechanism]
Foresight News reports that the Ethereum community has released a draft update for EIP-8450. The update includes removing the withdrawal address path, execution layer request contract, and pending authorization queue, allowing key registration to be completed solely through existing BLS signing keys. It also adds a change delay limit (minimum 256 epochs) and a replay protection mechanism to improve security. Each registration requires the validator to provide a new post-quantum key and related proofs; the cryptographic details are simplified to API calls.
