Holy crap, has Google been on fire these past two weeks? First place in 15 out of 17 tests, completely crushing GPT-6 and Claude!
They just launched the Gemini 4 Argon on October 13th, and then the Gemini 4 Carbon on October 28th – a major upgrade in just two weeks!
In the 17 benchmark comparisons released by Google, Carbon took first place in 15, topping the overall charts.
Some particularly impressive figures:
Overall AI Index: Carbon 59 points, Claude Opus 5.5 58 points, GPT-6 Astra 57 points.
Long Context Ability: Carbon 96.2%, GPT-6 only 71.8%, Claude 66.8%.
Exploitation Ability: Carbon 54.8%, GPT-6 42.4%, Claude 34.5%. In intelligent agent terminal tasks: Carbon 65.2%, GPT-6 59.1%, Claude 59.6%.
AI has begun to help Google improve model training and deployment speed, and this will continue to accelerate over the next 12 months due to Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI).
Carbon is not yet fully open, but this iteration speed is quite alarming.
At this pace, the lead of AI models may become increasingly short-lived. Whoever can continuously iterate rapidly will be the most formidable.
