On October 28, the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced sanctions against 10 individuals and one entity, accusing them of assisting North Korean IT personnel in using false identities to work for U.S. companies and transferring income via cryptocurrency. Chainalysis' on-chain investigation found that one of the North Korean IT personnel had written code for blockchain and DeFi protocols. His stablecoin compensation was converted into ETH, aggregated through multiple addresses, and then transferred to a Russian intermediary, Ilya Boykov, before flowing into the sanctioned Russian exchange Garantex. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/us-sanctions-north-korea-it-staff-money-laundering-blockchain-defi-70898
