Dedicated to those of you going through a period of uncertainty.
This photo suddenly came to mind.
In 2008, SpaceX suffered its third launch failure. The debris was brought back to the factory, scattered everywhere. Engineers sifted through the metal rubble, trying to find the problem.
Musk crouched alone in a corner, his team still working tirelessly behind him. He understood that this wasn't just a technological failure, but a precipice for the entire company's fate.
Cash flow was about to dry up, his personal wealth was almost gone. If it failed a fourth time, SpaceX would be finished.
At that moment, he crouched alone before the wreckage, surrounded by charred metal and the marks of failure. Everyone thought he would collapse, that SpaceX would become another name forgotten in the annals of history.
Funding dried up, rocket failures continued, public ridicule ensued, and team morale collapsed. No one was willing to gamble on him again.
But it was in these ruins that he found true strength. Not the flowers and applause of success, but the courage to tell himself, even in the face of global doubt and utter defeat: Try again. These moments are often the true source of inspiration in my life. Because you understand that greatness doesn't emerge from the light, but is forged step by step from the depths of despair.
It wasn't until the fourth successful launch that SpaceX came to be what it is today.
