[Israeli Media: US Official Says Further Strikes Against Iran Unaffected by Israel's Government Formation Process] Golden Finance reported on October 29th, citing Israel's Today newspaper, that a senior US diplomatic official stated that US-Israeli military, intelligence, and diplomatic cooperation will continue unaffected by the Israeli election results, the progress of new government formation, or the US midterm elections. The official stated that if a decision is made to strike Iran again, it will be based on professional judgment and shared US-Israeli interests, with objectives including the complete elimination of Iran's military nuclear program and the elimination of its military threat to the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding countries. Regarding political arrangements, the official stated that the US's relevant strategic objectives remain unchanged. The report also stated that the US favors pushing for a broad coalition government in Israel that does not include extremists, and this issue was discussed in US-Israeli talks early Wednesday morning local time. The report pointed out that while the vote counting in Israel is nearing completion, neither of the two major camps can secure a stable majority on their own, making a coalition government a possible option. Israel has previously assured the US and other international partners that the formation of a new government will not hinder regional diplomatic processes.
