[Plato Raises $16 Million in Series A Funding to Build AI Simulated Workplace Training Environment] According to Jinse Finance, on October 28th, San Francisco-based AI startup Plato announced the completion of a $16 million Series A funding round, led by Nava Ventures, with participation from Gradient Ventures, Transpose Platform, and Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman, bringing its total funding to $19 million. Founded in 2025 by CEO Robert Farlow and CTO Pranav Putta, Plato provides AI labs with resettable and reusable simulated work environments to address the training needs of AI as it transitions from question-answering to task execution. The environment covers roles such as customer service, human resources, finance, accounting, and medical administration, allowing models to experiment in reinforcement learning and evaluate their task results and execution paths. The funding will be used to expand its scenario library, pay practitioners to rebuild job processes, and deploy AI agents to undertake real-world tasks.
