[Google Launches MPC Encrypted Custodial Service, Commercial Launch Expected in Early 2027] According to Jinse Finance, on October 28th, Google launched its Google Multi-Party Compute (MPC) security service at the first Digital Asset Symposium in New York. This service helps banks and other financial institutions safeguard and transfer cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets. The service is currently in private preview, with several institutions testing it; its parent company, Alphabet, has already used it to protect its digital assets on Ethereum and Solana. Commercial launch is scheduled for early 2027, with pricing undisclosed. The system splits private keys into multiple fragments and stores them separately. Before signing, each fragment must pass pre-set rules from the institution, covering transfer limits, target wallets, and approval requirements. The official version supports ECDSA and Ed25519 algorithms and plans to be compatible with quantum-resistant cryptography in the future. Google states that customers retain control of the keys, and the company cannot access them in plaintext. According to Chainalysis, 43.8% of crypto theft in 2024 was due to private key leaks.
