[Google Launches Multi-Party Compute Crypto Asset Custody Service, Plans Commercial Launch in Early 2027] According to CoinDesk, Google will showcase Google Multi-Party Compute (MPC), a secure custody service for crypto and tokenized assets aimed at banks and other financial institutions, at its first digital asset symposium in New York. The product is currently in private preview, with several financial institutions participating in testing. Its parent company, Alphabet, has already used it to protect its digital assets on Ethereum and Solana. Google plans to officially launch it commercially in early 2027; pricing has not yet been announced. The system stores private keys in shards on Google Cloud, institutional hardware, and other cloud service providers. Before signing, transactions are verified according to rules such as transfer limits, target addresses, and multi-department approvals, supporting signature thresholds such as 2-of-3 and 5-of-7.
