Copper May Carry Atlas' Burden Copper appears stuck between inflation in the US and deflation in China and may be highly dependent on the US stock market continuing to rise. The economically sensitive metal could succumb to 2026 pump-then-dump patterns in US natural gas, Bitcoin, gold, silver, platinum, palladium, iron ore, nickel and lead. They've all reversed earlier-in-the-year gains into losses to Oct. 27.
