Binance and Coinbase present starkly contrasting trends.
Binance's spot trading is dominated by active buying, while Coinbase's is dominated by active selling; the investor behavior on both sides is diametrically opposed.
When BTC retraced to $79,500, Binance's BTC balance suddenly decreased by 15,436 BTC; at the same time, Coinbase's balance increased by 5,686 BTC.
This indicates a clear divergence in funds across different regions in the current environment. One side is actively accumulating BTC, while the other is still seeking to exit.
Is this the legendary "East-West divide"?
Following this trend, the direction will depend on whether Binance's buying can continue, or when Coinbase's selling pressure will subside.
If Coinbase's selling pressure gradually exhausts, while Binance's buying remains strong, then $79,500 could become a crucial turning point in the new supply-demand relationship.
A bottom can form starting with someone willing to absorb selling pressure; however, a trend reversal requires more capital to reach a consensus.
After all, it's difficult for buying pressure from only one market to withstand sustained pressure from another market in the long run.
