Anthropic's post-IPO share lock-up release is more complex than SpaceX's. The company has officially disclosed four lock-up release arrangements. The first batch is released from the start of trading, followed by phases around the prospectus date and financial report release date, with the longest extension being approximately one year. There are significant differences among different shareholders:
1) Non-founding directors, executives, and some employees and advisors: 10% on the first day, 35% after the official 2026 full-year results are released, and the remainder is released at the "six-month end";
2) Some other shareholders: Phased releases begin 27 days after the prospectus date, accumulating to 86% in the usual order, with the remainder released at the "six-month end";
3) Some shareholders holding more than 0.5% of shares: A one-year arrangement is adopted, with 30% released in the first phase in the usual order, followed by further phases;
4) The seven founders: The conventional early release is concentrated at 29% at the "six-month end," with the remainder released at the "one-year end"; existing shares sold directly during the IPO are handled separately.
GPT has created a diagram to illustrate Anthropic's post-IPO share release arrangements in detail, assuming November 17th is the IPO date. Table reading method:
+6% (12%) indicates that 6% of the shares will be newly released from lock-up this time, with a cumulative release of 12%;
- (10%) indicates that there will be no new shares released this time, and the cumulative release remains at 10%;
The percentages are calculated based on the number of locked-up securities stipulated in their respective agreements, and are not percentages of the company's total share capital.
