Ethereum Name Service (ENS) announced that ENSv2 has launched on the Ethereum mainnet, with the new protocol released simultaneously with the new ENS App and ENS Explorer. ENSv2 allows each name to establish an independent registry for its subnames and provides more granular permission settings, enabling multiple parties to jointly manage the same namespace. Over 40 teams have already completed v2 adaptation, including 1inch, Aragon, Arbitrum, Jumper, Lighter, MetaMask, and Safe. Existing ENS names remain valid and do not require re-registration; eligible .eth names can choose to upgrade to v2.
