ETH has reached a crucial point, and tonight's move could determine its trajectory for the next three months:
This post will delve into some practical information; those interested in technical analysis should read carefully.
Some readers have been wondering about the green Gann angle line 2/1 that I've been mentioning. Today, we'll explain it using a weekly chart.
Using 4956.7 and 1505.6 as high and low points respectively, we get the green Gann angle line shown in Figure 1. The 2/1 line is a watershed between strong and weak price action; staying above this level is a bullish signal—it's that simple.
If 1505.6 is the endpoint of the decline from 4956.7, the timeframe for ETH is shown in Figure 1:
The 1505.6-2807.3 move represents the first wave of the weekly uptrend, and the decline from 2807.3 is a correction of the same timeframe. This correction is currently nearing its end, and may even be over.
Narrowing the timeframe to the daily chart, as shown in Figure 2, drawing a red Gann angle line with 1505.6-2807.6 as the low and high points, we can see that ETH is attempting to break upwards through the resistance zone circled in blue in Figure 2, which is around 2370-2390.
If ETH subsequently breaks through and holds above this level, and does not fall below the 2/1 mark of the green Gann angle line, we should consider the possibility that the weekly correction has been completed. A break above 2454 followed by no further decline below the 2/1 mark would greatly increase this probability. After the weekly correction ends, a new round of weekly upward movement will begin.
If ETH fails to break through the blue circle for an extended period, or if it pierces it and then closes lower, the weekly correction starting at 2807.3 may continue until the second week of November. The latter part of the correction could be a sideways consolidation, range-bound trading, or further decline; the specific movement will be monitored based on market conditions. What is certain is that the more complex the correction, the smoother the subsequent upward movement will be.
As shown in Figure 3, the reason I emphasized on August 20th that the upward trend was not yet over was because I clearly understood that the upward movement that started at 1505 was a weekly-level uptrend, and it shouldn't have ended by August 20th.
Furthermore, back in January, I predicted that ETH would fall to around 1500, a price level determined using Gann angles 8/1 in Figure 4. Subsequent tests of this level in June and July, which held, confirmed the end of the downtrend.
In summary, understanding timeframes and observing the market's reaction to key prices within critical time windows is my key to capturing trend reversals.
