[Discord to Allow Google Search of Public Server Messages Starting in December; Users Can Manually Disable This] According to a report by Cointelegraph on October 28th, Discord will begin creating web pages for public servers with at least 1,000 members that can be joined without an invitation, starting November 16th. From mid-December, eligible channel messages will be allowed to appear in search engine results. Users can disable the "Show my message content on web pages" option in "User Settings" - "Data & Privacy". Discord states that messages published before this launch will not be included in this feature, and usernames and avatars will not be made public with messages; the opt-out setting only applies to messages published afterward, and users must delete published messages before requesting the removal of related content.
