[Meta's $25 Billion Stock Offering Oversubscribed 5 Times] BlockBeats reported on October 27 that sources familiar with the matter revealed that Meta Platforms' (META.O) expanded $25 billion stock offering received approximately five times the number of shares available for subscription. The company plans to raise $98 billion for spending in the field of artificial intelligence. The sources indicated that more than half of the common stock offered was allocated to long-term investors and existing shareholders. The top 15 investors by subscription size received approximately 70% of the offered shares. The offering was priced at $625 per share, a 2.7% discount to the closing price on Friday before the announcement. On Tuesday, Meta's stock price fell as much as 1.4% in New York trading, to $621.47 per share. This stock offering is only part of Meta's financing plan, which also includes the issuance of $12.5 billion in mandatory convertible preferred stock and a planned market-based share issuance. If the final fundraising amount reaches $98 billion, it will become one of the largest equity financing plans in history.
