[ENSv2 Officially Launched on Ethereum Mainnet] According to Foresight News, ENSv2 has officially launched on the Ethereum mainnet. The new version introduces hierarchical registries and a more granular permission model. Individual domains can function as independent on-chain registries, allowing communities and organizations to customize subdomain issuance rules and manage authorization by region. It also updates the domain name resolution method and supports record link sharing. A new version of the ENS App for general users and the ENS Explorer for developers have been launched. ENS states that the ENS ecosystem currently supports over 36 million domains, covering more than 600 applications. The official statement says that existing .eth domains will continue to function normally without re-registration. Users can voluntarily upgrade to ENSv2 within the ENS App starting today. After upgrading all eligible domains, users can also receive a commemorative ENSv2 NFT designed by artist Polyhop, one per wallet, subject to Ethereum network gas fees. Applications such as 1inch, MetaMask, Safe, Uniswap, PayPal, Venmo, and OpenSea are already compatible with ENSv2.
