Wow, does this mean gold trading is now moving towards 23/7 trading?
I only learned about this from Ni Da's post. @Gate_zh recently upgraded a product: Gold CFD (XAAmericaD) 23/7 trading.
This means that gold-related trading, which was previously closed on weekends, can now be done through CFD products, allowing for opening, closing, and managing positions during designated weekend hours.
It's clear that crypto trading platforms are trying to extend the trading experience of traditional financial assets to longer trading hours.
However, a few details need attention:
1️⃣ Currently only available for XAAmericaD, and only to a limited number of beta accounts.
2️⃣ The market remains closed daily from 05:00–06:00 (Beijing time).
3️⃣ The maximum leverage available for new positions opened on weekends is 50x.
By the way, Gold CFDs are essentially leveraged contracts for difference (CFDs) and do not represent holding physical gold. I'm currently planning to try out this product. Of course, I'm more interested in the weekend pricing mechanism, spreads, and liquidity performance than trading hours.
