According to the Spanish news agency EFE, an investigation by the Spanish Civil Guard has revealed that the cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme Arbistar transferred 881 BTC to other wallets on the day it collapsed in September 2020, which were worth approximately €32.5 million (about $36.4 million) months later. Between January and March 2021, over 20,000 BTC were transferred in and out of the wallets involved, at the time worth approximately €710 million (about $795 million). The investigation shows that those involved used coin mixing services to conceal the source of funds, with some funds flowing to relatives of company executives. Arbistar had previously been convicted of defrauding approximately 32,000 investors of over €200 million, and the Spanish National Court has now overturned its previous decision to refuse to expand the scope of the money laundering investigation. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/news-70782
