[OneKey Claims No Data Breach, Announces Reduction of Customer Data Retention Period to 30 Days] According to Jinse Finance, on October 27th, account @ohyishi (Yishi) posted that following recent data breaches and supply chain attacks in the hardware wallet industry, OneKey is strengthening its existing security measures and explicitly stated that OneKey itself has not experienced any security incidents; the aforementioned measures were proactively implemented beforehand. Specifically, these measures include three aspects: First, reviewing and verifying the deletion of historical order data. The Shopify API has confirmed that relevant historical order records (including customer names, emails, shipping addresses, and other personal information) have been deleted, and other systems and integrations are being reviewed. Second, reducing the customer data retention limit to 30 days. Order-related personal information will be permanently deleted within 30 days, and returns, warranties, and device verification will use alternative methods that do not rely on long-term retention. Third, reducing the risk of exposure of historical customer data. Deleted historical order records are no longer accessible through the Shopify order API. The company also clarified that the retention policies of carriers such as FedEx and America are beyond its control, and it cannot guarantee that the same 30-day standard will be applied. For customers who explicitly choose to receive information, a separate, privacy-protected email address may be retained solely for product updates, security patch notifications, etc., and will not be associated with their identity, shipping address, or order history. The long-term goal is to migrate its e-commerce business to its own infrastructure, eliminating its reliance on third-party platforms such as Shopify.
