[Morgan Stanley: Chip Stock Correction Nearing its End, Expected to Conclude by Mid-November] According to Jinse Finance, on October 27th, despite increased pressure on US stocks due to cooling AI trading enthusiasm, Morgan Stanley's Chief Equity Strategist, Mike Wilson, maintained his prediction that the S&P 500 would close at 8000 points by the end of the year. Morgan Stanley's tactical downside target for the S&P 500 is 7100 to 7200 points, slightly below the 200-day moving average. However, the bank's base case target for the S&P 500 at the end of the year remains at 8000 points, noting that several upcoming liquidation events, including the midterm elections, should mark the end of the current market correction. However, Wilson is relatively cautious about the semiconductor sector, believing that its support level may be far below current levels, but also noting that selling pressure on semiconductor stocks may ease next month.
