[Anthropic's Cash Holdings Exceed Tech Giants Like Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft, But Its Expenses Are Also Off the Charts] BlockBeats reported on October 27th that Anthropic officially filed for an IPO yesterday. According to the S-1 cash flow statement disclosed in Anthropic's prospectus, the company raised approximately $140 billion in cash (preferred stock + convertible bonds + SAFE agreement) between 2023 and the first half of 2026. Of this, $110 billion was raised only in the first half of 2026, including a $65.2 billion Series H funding round. As of June 30, 2026, the company's remaining cash consisted of: $112.4 billion in cash and cash equivalents + $19.3 billion in short-term investments = approximately $132 billion (plus $2.5 billion in restricted cash). Other financing channels include a $15 billion undrawn revolving credit facility (expanded in September 2026) and up to $77 billion in partner note financing ($20 billion from Google, $15 billion from Amazon tied to computing milestones, and $42 billion from Broadcom solely for lease payments). IPO proceeds will increase on top of this. As a result, Anthropic's cash holdings surpass those of tech giants like Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft, second only to Alphabet's $242 billion. However, Anthropic's projected expenditures, including an annual commitment of approximately $37 billion in computing power to SpaceX AI alone starting in December 2026, represent a total commitment of approximately $780 billion to $810 billion.
