First, a conclusion: in the AI era, the most valuable assets are your personal data and user entry points, not tokens.
According to a16z's latest consumer AI rankings in October, nearly half of Americans have used AI, but only 25% use it daily.
AI doesn't lack testers; it lacks reasons for users to return daily. There's still huge potential here.
ChatGPT addresses when you have questions.
But everyday activities like sleeping, exercising, eating, and shopping are where AI can truly be used frequently.
General AI only knows how ordinary people should sleep.
Personal AI knows what time you went to bed last night, how much your HRV has changed, how many times you exercised this week, and how much sleep debt you have.
With this personal context, suggestions truly become personalized.
@sleepagotchi's Gotchi Labs is doing just that: a multi-scenario Consumer AI Platform.
600,000 registered users, 80,000 daily active users
Pre-installed on 500,000 Jambo phones
Also the number one app on Solana Seeker
The first scenario launched is Health & Wellness. The core product is Sleepagotchi's AI sleep coach.
It can already connect to data from WHOOP, Oura, Apple Watch, and CUDIS to provide sleep analysis and recovery suggestions.
Why I think distribution is the most scarce resource in Consumer AI:
Model capabilities are now accessible to everyone. Two products using the same model face vastly different challenges: one starting from scratch to acquire users, the other already boasting hundreds of thousands.
The competition in consumer AI is increasingly resembling that of the mobile internet era, focusing on entry points, retention, data, and user habits. Gotchi has already gained an advantage in these areas.
Why is sleep the best entry point?
It happens every day, the data is naturally continuous, and the watch can directly quantify it, connecting it to exercise, recovery, and health.
First, accumulate long-term physical data from sleep, then extend to fitness, shopping, efficiency, and personal AI. Every step is easier than starting from scratch for others.
These new scenarios are currently in the planning stages, with sleep being the first step that has already taken off.
CHI's role here is also clear:
It serves as the gateway and participation layer for the entire ecosystem, connecting AI points and subscription benefits. Partner Services and Consumption
When users simultaneously utilize multiple AI assistants for sleep, fitness, and shopping, a unified CHI (Gotchi Hierarchy Intelligence) creates a stronger network effect than having separate systems for each product.
The next step I'm most looking forward to:
Migrating the user data and insights accumulated in sleep analytics to a second AI scenario.
If this step is successful, Gotchi will transform from a product into a platform, which is precisely what makes it most worthy of in-depth research.
