Regarding this week's Fed meeting, I'll only state one conclusion: whether they hold rates steady this time or raise rates in December, the impact on BTC will be limited.
1. October 27-28 is the fourth Fed meeting under Warsh's leadership. The market is betting on an over 80% probability of holding rates steady, and a December rate hike is essentially priced in. The real focus should be on the September PCE data released at 8:30 PM Beijing time on Thursday.
2. A rate hike will have a far greater impact on US stocks than on cryptocurrencies. US stocks need low funding costs, and if AI companies' profits don't significantly exceed expectations, they could experience a sharp drop.
3. Bitcoin is shifting from a risk asset to an asset that hedges against the dollar's credit. The 10-year US Treasury yield is still around 5%, and the more severe the US debt problem, the stronger the demand for hedging.
Therefore, my strategy remains unchanged: holding above the 64,800 level is the bull/bear dividing line; any pullback above 75,000 is an opportunity.
This week, will you reduce your holdings and wait for the PCE, or add to your positions on dips?
