[Over 23,000 Phishing Email Attempts Exploiting Foundation Devices' Historical Customer Data] Odaily Planet Daily reports that Bitcoin News, in an article published on the X platform, stated that Foundation Devices claims attackers launched over 23,000 phishing email attempts targeting its hardware wallet customers, exploiting customer records that the company believed to have been deleted but were still retained in its historical database tables. Investigators confirmed that 19,057 of these emails were sent via Mailgun, and another 1,503 were sent via Google Workspace; the number of affected customers is still undetermined. Foundation Devices stated that after migrating the old WooCommerce database, customer names, shipping information, refund records, and incomplete checkout information in the old tables remained accessible; recent Shopify order information may also have been exposed. The company stated that there is currently no evidence that the Passport hardware wallet or its private key was compromised, and the investigation is ongoing.
