[Anthropic Expects to Pay Google $114.5 Billion by 2033, Broadcom Lease Expenses Reach $161.2 Billion]
BlockBeats reported on October 26 that Anthropic expects to pay Google up to approximately $114.5 billion by 2033, and approximately $161.2 billion in rent (excluding interest) over the lease term under its lease agreement with Broadcom.
Anthropic stated that computing and infrastructure costs are expected to continue to increase in absolute terms and will become the company's largest operating expense for the foreseeable future. The company believes that its current available cash and cash equivalents are sufficient to meet working capital and other needs for at least the next 12 months, but also warned that it may need to seek additional financing sooner than currently anticipated.
Regarding security, Anthropic stated that it recently delayed the pre-training of its next-generation cutting-edge foundational models by more than a month to strengthen security measures and prevent the leakage of model weights. The company also pointed out that as AI systems gradually automate AI R&D, the associated risks will increase.
