[Musk: ASI Won't Rule Humanity; Money and Work Will Lose Meaning in the Future] According to a report by Jinse Finance on October 26th, Elon Musk stated in a dialogue hosted by Walter Isaacson, author of the Steve Jobs biography, that facing ASI, whose intelligence is thousands of times greater than that of humans, humans are like chimpanzees. AI is unlikely to want to rule humanity; the real risk is being "systematically ignored." He advocates giving AI extreme curiosity and a pursuit of truth, avoiding setting self-contradictory constraints, citing HAL9000 as an example. He claims that digital superintelligence only increases global output by 20% to 30%, approximately $30 trillion annually; if embodied intelligence becomes widespread and combined with space resources, the economy could expand a million times, labor would degenerate into a hobby like gardening, money would lose its meaning, and wealth would be measured in power (watts) and mass (tons). He predicts that AI will surpass any single person in 2026-2027 and surpass collective human intelligence in 2030-2031, with at least 100 million humanoid robots in 5 years and more than 1 billion in 10 years.
