⚡️Just checked the performance of Asian stock markets and some data; the situation isn't looking good!
This week, global stock markets are likely to be in turmoil!
Japan and South Korea suffered the most significant declines, with the Nikkei falling for the third consecutive day and the South Korean KOSPI dropping below 5500 points. Indonesia and Vietnam are also declining.
But what's most alarming is the fragmented performance of the A-share market.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose slightly by 0.19%, while the ChiNext Index plummeted by 1.71%, with over 3100 stocks declining.
Trading volume shrank by over 340 billion yuan, and net capital outflow from the market reached a staggering 32.2 billion yuan.
The index is slightly positive, but individual stocks and capital flows are a mess. This is a classic case of "using heavyweight stocks to cover up selling":
First, money is flowing out. Off-market funds aren't entering, allowing major players to cash out.
Second, heavyweight stocks are stubbornly holding up the market. Relying on banks, coal stocks, and high-dividend stocks, or on the "national team" buying broad-based ETFs to prop up the market, this doesn't necessarily mean a bullish market.
Third, retail investors are getting burned. Funds are ruthlessly abandoning small-cap and tech stocks.
"Reduced volume, outflows, boosting heavyweight stocks, and selling off individual stocks"—this is a standard defensive continuation pattern in a downtrend. Major players only want to stabilize the index while slowly distributing their high-priced shares.
The policy bottom is not the market bottom. The market bottom is never created by boosting bank stocks.
At this time, don't try to catch a falling knife, especially not a falling knife in small-cap and tech stocks.
