[Bloomberg Intelligence: Precious Metals Relative to US Treasuries May Have Peaked, Gold Falls Back to Around $4,000] According to Jinse Finance, on October 26th, Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Mike McGlone stated that gold prices have fallen back to the support level of around $4,000 per ounce, while silver is close to $50 per ounce; however, their performance relative to US Treasuries may be at an extreme level not seen in about 40 years, suggesting that the trend of precious metals relative to US Treasuries may have peaked. McGlone pointed out that interest rate hikes by most central banks, as well as a certain degree of correction and volatility in US stocks, could drive a shift in the performance of precious metals relative to US Treasuries; in contrast, US Treasuries and Treasury bills with yields close to 5% may regain their attractiveness.
