Ouch, that hurts! —
Bitcoin (-7.3%) and gold (-7.5%) are the two worst-performing major assets so far in 2026.
This is unprecedented since 2011.
Even more disheartening is that commodities have risen 52.5% this year, the Nasdaq has risen 15.1%, and even cash, which usually just earns interest, has gained 2.9%.
So, everyone else in the world is making money this year, while we "HOLDERs" are still breaking even.
But then I flipped to the last two columns of this chart, and I perked up!
Looking at the long term, BTC's amazing returns over the past fifteen years have been achieved precisely through repeated crashes that made holders question their existence.
Damn, let's recharge our faith!
As long as Bitcoin's scarcity, global liquidity, and long-term adoption trend don't fundamentally reverse, it will still be worthy of being one of the core asset allocations for the next decade!
