The independent researcher 'log4j' found a privacy horror where he gained administrator access to his 2025 Samsung TV and uncovered screenshot capture, audio classification, geolocation, network mapping and its access to a connected soundbar’s microphone. He also raised concerns about Samsung’s roughly 400 partners and say OpenAI subsequently banned their account for “Cyber Abuse.” The claims remain unverified, yet the evidence is quite substantial. Samsung says its viewing-recognition feature requires consent.
