Goldman Sachs Cuts KOSPI Target by 25% to 9,000 Points, But Still Expects Over 60% Upside. According to Jinse Finance, on October 26th, Goldman Sachs strategists, who had repeatedly raised their target for the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) this year, have now significantly lowered it by 25% due to growing market concerns about artificial intelligence (AI) investments. Goldman Sachs analysts, including Timothy Moe, lowered their 12-month target for the benchmark KOSPI from 12,000 points to 9,000 points. Analysts stated that the KOSPI has plummeted more than 35% from its June high, necessitating a more conservative stance in valuation assumptions. However, Goldman Sachs still believes that the recent sell-off has severely undervalued South Korean stocks. Despite the significant downward revision of the target, the revised forecast still implies an upside of over 60% from current levels.
