[SK Hynix Plans to Distribute 16 Trillion Won in Special Dividends] Odaily reports that SK Hynix plans to return 80% of the proceeds from the sale of its stake in Japanese NAND flash memory manufacturer Kioxia as a special dividend to shareholders, with the total expected dividend amounting to approximately 16 trillion won (more than seven times the total dividends distributed last year). The report states that the proceeds from the sale of Kioxia shares are expected to be approximately 20 trillion won. Based on the current number of issued shares, the special dividend per share is expected to be approximately 23,000 won, equivalent to about 15 times the current annual fixed dividend. According to industry sources, the company is expected to announce the plan when it releases its third-quarter financial report on October 28th, and is currently considering whether to pay in installments. In addition, SK Hynix's previously announced 40 trillion won share buyback and cancellation plan was completed ahead of schedule on October 21st. (Dong-A Ilbo, South Korea)
