[Number of Companies Opposing Trading on OKX and ICE Tokenized Stock Platforms Rises to 22] Odaily reports that OKXICE TSV's updated announcement on October 23rd listed six new objecting companies: Wells Fargo, Cisco Systems, Marvell Technology, Arm Holdings, Moderna, and Intuit. The total number of objecting companies has increased to 22, up from 16 on October 19th and 9 on October 15th. The announcement did not explain the reasons for the objections or their impact on whether the stocks can be traded on the platform. OKXICE TSV is a 50/50 joint venture between Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and OKX US Holdings, planning to allow approved users to trade tokenized US stocks 24/7. Trading will be conducted through Uniswap v4 liquidity pools on OKX's XLayer blockchain and settled using stablecoins such as USDC. The announcement disclosed that the platform only suspends trading when the underlying stock is suspended from trading; it has not implemented other circuit breaker mechanisms, nor has it formulated policies to handle issues related to blockchain transaction ordering. Smart contracts can be upgraded without prior notice to users, and the contracts controlling trading eligibility are only subject to internal audits. (Decrypt)
