AI agents can autonomously send and receive funds on the Bitcoin mainnet via the Lightning Network and L402, without requiring human approval for every transaction. The AI agents can use them to pay API call fees, purchase data, and transact with other agents, with single transaction fees as low as less than 1 cent. Developers can integrate payment functionality into their applications without running Lightning Network nodes, managing channels, or raising liquidity. This self-custodial toolkit supports independent on-chain exits, with an initial limit of 300,000 satoshis per wallet. Lightning Network payments incur a 0.25% service fee. Wavelength is currently in its Alpha phase and plans to support stablecoins.
