[Galaxy Research: Mysterious On-Chain Text in Bitcoin is from Automated Testing Tool, Not Encrypted Information] According to Jinse Finance, on October 25th, Galaxy Research tweeted that over the past three weeks, an entity has been writing seemingly cipher-like sentences (such as "Ieqkenszm aalzrnbgtr...") to Bitcoin approximately 40 times daily. Analysis confirmed these were not encrypted messages. Their analysis of 562 text entries showed that the frequencies of the 26 letters were all between 3.6% and 4.2% (compared to 12.7% for 'e' and only 0.07% for 'z' in English), the overlap index was 0.0385 (random level), there were no duplicate key characteristics, and the word lengths were evenly distributed between 2 and 10 characters, consistent with random generation. Each transaction executed by this bot consists of 1 input, 1 new change, and 1 OP_RETURN, spanning 31 chains with a maximum of 86 hops. Funds are replenished by a splitter in increments of 20,000 or 5,000 satoshis. The daily frequency is 12→24→40. Long texts are confirmed within one hour after UTC 05/11/17/23, acting as a cron job. Funds can be traced back to three exchange withdrawals in May (totaling 0.033 BTC). The same batch of coins was used to publish the complete US Constitution on May 29th with a 44,194-byte OP_RETURN. The total investment is 3.33 million satoshis, with 24% spent on miner fees, 76% remaining in its own wallet, and no payments made to anyone. Galaxy named it "Babel Scribe," classifying it as a test tool rather than a means of disseminating information.
