I said cryptocurrency is a gray industry in China, and a bunch of people disagreed, saying it's legal in the US or some other country. That's strange thinking. Which country are you in? You're not following Chinese law in China, but using the legality of some other country to explain it away. You'll understand what "gray industry" without legal protection means when you encounter it yourself.
Many people used to like to shout about decentralization (I haven't seen anyone say that in the last two years), about self-management of assets. Once they're stolen from or scammed, they realize what decentralization is, and then they report it to the police, wanting a centralized institution to recover their assets.
