[Circle Gateway Adds Support for cirBTC and EURC, Expanding Cross-Chain Assets to Three Types] Jinse Finance reports that Circle has announced support for its cross-chain balance service, Gateway, for encapsulated Bitcoin (cirBTC) and the Euro stablecoin (EURC) (previously only USDC). Developers can now move these three assets using a unified interface. Each asset retains an independent balance; depositing EURC will not fund cirBTC withdrawals or automatic currency conversion, and cross-asset exchanges still require separate exchanges. Network coverage differs: cirBTC is limited to Arc and Ethereum; EURC supports Arc, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Solana, and World Chain. Circle states that cross-chain access after balance creation takes less than 500 milliseconds, but this timeframe does not include the finality time of new deposits. Deposits are held in a non-custodial GatewayWallet escrow contract and minted on the target chain with the same asset after authorization. A withdrawal path independent of the API is also provided, with a 7-day delay. The new assets are compatible with Nanopayments for bulk settlement, but nanopayments for non-USDC assets are limited to the EVM network. During the initial launch period, Circle will waive gateway fees for cirBTC and EURC on Arc.
