Early voting for the midterm elections has begun. As of today, Arizona, one of the key swing states, has cast 884,474 ballots: 884,474 by mail and 0 in-person. Registered Democrats cast 38.7% and registered Republicans 38.4%. In Maricopa County, Arizona's largest county, Republicans have a slight lead (approximately 38.4% vs. Democrats 38.3%). Recent daily return polls show a clear bias towards Republicans. As a crucial swing state, previous polls and market predictions consistently favored Democrats winning Arizona by a significant margin. However, early voting data shows this lead is narrowing considerably. This data only reflects some early voting and only accounts for voter party affiliation; the final outcome depends on the votes cast by the 22.9% of independent voters.
