Many are eager to buy the dip again.
However, the reality is: Meta's earnings report triggered a sell-off in US tech stocks, with the Nasdaq plummeting and BTC spot ETFs experiencing a large net outflow of $635 million. Expectations of a December rate hike have also increased.
The previous weekly high was a false breakout, failing to hold above 82,800. The densely traded 82,000-84,000 area has turned from support into resistance. Funding costs are relatively high, and after a rebound to 81,000, further upside potential is limited.
Last night's false break below 79,700 completed a shakeout of long positions, a bear trap. The key is whether it can stabilize.
A strong rebound is unlikely in the short term; a period of low-level consolidation is more probable.
Caution: Heavy bottom-fishing is not recommended at the current level.
