In a Pivot interview yesterday, CZ stated that agents will use cryptocurrency for payments and receipts, not bank accounts. The day before yesterday, HSBC's Hong Kong dollar stablecoin, RedCoin, was launched on PayMe, and its official website shows a circulating supply of approximately HK$80.81 million today. It runs on HSBC's own DLT network, and transfers between PayMe and the HSBC App wallets are not possible. Both are stablecoins, one is on a public blockchain that anyone can use, while the other is stored in a bank ledger. Which one agents choose depends on the barriers to entry.
