Completely acceptable to do a peaceful protest outside the Colosseum, but breaking into/vandalizing the Colosseum (or our Capitol like they did in January 6th) is not unacceptable. Tourism is a critical industry in Paris and Rome, so there is an argument that anyone disrupting it should face some additional penalties — like blocking the Bay Bridge in SF
