Bitcoin briefly dipped below $80,000 this evening, but its resilience remains strong. I've been unsure of the driving force behind this rally; I know there's buying pressure, but I haven't been able to pinpoint the reasons. Currently, bitcoin:native's price is still following tech stocks, but its volatility seems lower. However, my biggest concern is that if tech stocks continue to decline, Bitcoin will struggle to maintain stability. Although it's the weekend, oil futures prices continue to rise slightly. Tensions between the US and Iran are escalating, and I even saw reports today that Iran is preparing to take action against the fiber optic cables under the Strait of Hormuz. Previously, it was just a threat, but now it seems like a real attack. If this happens, data centers in the Gulf region will suffer losses. This will inevitably exacerbate tensions between the US and Iran. With only 10 days until the midterm elections, US policy is unlikely to change significantly in the next 10 days, but Iran can act with even greater impunity. This small country is truly causing global chaos. The continued rise in oil prices is also one of the reasons for Bitcoin's decline today. The Federal Reserve's interest rate meeting is next Thursday at 2 AM. The consensus seems to be no rate hike in October, but there's a high probability that Warsh will continue his hawkish rhetoric, which isn't good for risk markets. Moreover, if this continues, a December rate hike is inevitable. The $79,000 level for both currencies isn't a major issue, but I personally think there will be significant volatility around the time of the meeting. A @Gate account for more market insights.
