[Lido Launches 0x02 CSM, Allowing Permissionless Validators with Up to 2048 ETH Balance] Jinse Finance reports that on October 24th, Lido launched 0x02 CSM on csm.lido.fi—a permissionless CSM instance for validators using 0x02 to extract credentials. Anyone can run a validator with a maximum effective balance of 2048 ETH through the Lido protocol. Similar to 0x01 CSM, operators do not need to raise their own collateral; they only provide bonds (32 ETH for the initial key, 30 ETH for each subsequent key), with the protocol allocating the collateral. It includes bond rebase rewards, with a capital multiplier of approximately 2.18x for the initial key and approaching 2.26x as the scale increases (compared to individual staking). 0x02 employs a two-queue mechanism: an initial deposit queue receives a seed deposit of 32 ETH to allow the key to enter the Ethereum activation queue. After activation, collateral is added in stages through a top-up queue with a limit of 32 slots. The initial cap for the launch is 0.01% of Lido Core TVL. The first batch of approximately 32 keys will receive seed deposits, with subsequent caps gradually increased by the CSM committee via Easy Track proposals. The combined cap for both modules is 20% of Lido Core TVL. There is no native migration channel from 0x01 to 0x02; existing operators can continue using 0x01. CSM currently offers four paths: 0x01 Default, 0x01 ICS, 0x01 IDVTC, and 0x02 CSM.
