[Thai Police Arrest Chinese Suspect in 10 Billion Baht Cryptocurrency Scam] According to Matichon (Thailand's *Matkhon* newspaper), the Thai Immigration Bureau arrested a 47-year-old Chinese man, also holding a Cambodian passport, using the alias "Lee." He is suspected of luring Chinese people to invest in cryptocurrencies with promises of high returns, causing multiple investors to lose over 100 million baht. The Northern District Court of Bangkok had previously issued an arrest warrant for him on fraud charges. Police investigations revealed that the suspect originally resided in Samut Prakan province but later fled to a luxury residence in Chonburi province, where he was apprehended by immigration police from both Samut Prakan and Chonburi provinces. The suspect has been transferred to the Hua Mut Police Station for further legal processing. The Thai Immigration Bureau stated that it will continue to combat transnational criminal networks, focusing on "dummy accounts" and money laundering activities.
