The launch of the native USDe stablecoin by @XLayerOfficial completes Xlayer's stablecoin market structure, which was previously dominated by USDG. It adds a new yield-generating synthetic USD option to its stablecoin ecosystem, significantly benefiting its expansion in the stablecoin market. Previously, USDG, issued by Paxos and backed by Singapore's MAS, held a large share of Xlayer's market capitalization, accounting for 88% of its $1.49 billion stablecoin market capitalization, making it the absolute dominant asset. However, while the advantage of such assets lies in their security and regulatory compliance, they do not generate significant native yields, hindering the attraction of high-yield on-chain funds and users, and limiting Xlayer's business expansion in the DeFi space. The launch of the native USDe stablecoin precisely fills this gap. It generates yields through a delta-neutral strategy, and after staking, the yields are distributed to holders in the form of sUSDe, making it naturally suitable as a yield-generating asset. With the upcoming support for staking and one-click earning features, users can more efficiently invest their idle stablecoin assets on-chain, significantly improving capital efficiency and the activity level of DeFi scenarios.
