Franklin Templeton plans to launch two mixed ETFs of US stocks and Bitcoin, with 95% allocated to stocks and 5% allocated to Bitcoin
On October 24th, according to Crypto Briefing, asset management company Franklin Templeton plans to launch two ETFs that combine US stock and Bitcoin exposure. The initial asset allocation ratio is 95% US stock and 5% Bitcoin, tracking the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 related indices respectively. The two products are Franklin US Equity Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF (FBEQ) and Franklin US Innovation Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF (FIBT), both of which are planned to be listed on NASDAQ. The relevant registration documents were submitted to the US SEC on October 22nd and are expected to take effect on October 27th, followed by the start of trading. It is worth noting that the two ETFs will use the dividends generated from stocks to increase Bitcoin exposure through a dividend reinvestment mechanism (DRIP), rather than continuing to purchase stocks. The fund will not directly hold Bitcoin, but will allocate it through products such as Franklin's spot Bitcoin ETF (EZBC). The initial weight of Bitcoin is 5%, which is rebalanced quarterly to 4.5%, with a maximum weight limit of 20%.
