As of now, the total number of companies that have raised objections has increased to 22, including tech giants such as Microsoft and Google's parent company Alphabet. It is reported that OKX and ICE submitted applications to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) earlier this month, planning to launch a stock tokenization trading platform using the regulatory innovation exemption mechanism, with the first batch planned to cover 62 listed companies. Currently, out of the 22 companies that have raised objections, 16 are listed on NASDAQ and 6 are listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Nasdaq had previously reminded listed companies to be cautious in participating in stock tokenization pilots, stating that its impact on market liquidity, price discovery, and long-term shareholder value may take a long time to manifest.
