Phantom opens Kalshi prediction market to US users, with restricted trading in some state markets According to The Block, the cryptocurrency wallet Phantom began rolling out its Kalshi prediction market service to US users on October 23, allowing users to directly trade event contracts within the app, and will gradually expand its open scope in the coming weeks. Users need to complete Kalshi's KYC authentication and can use the stablecoin CASH pegged to the US dollar to fund transactions through their Phantom Cash account. Phantom's General Counsel Kevin Jacobs stated that the company believes the jurisdiction of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) over such products is clear and will comply with state restrictions during the litigation period. Affected by lawsuits from various states, Phantom will temporarily restrict sports, elections, politics, and other specific categories of markets in some states.
